Reversatrol - kshymkiw - 03-05-2012 04:52 PM Does anyone take this? Are there any good studies on Long Term effects of taking this? RE: Reversatrol - John Winger - 03-05-2012 05:13 PM I do and I think it works best when coupled with other natural COX-2 inhibitors like curcumin, ginger, boswellia, some phenols, etc....as well as proteolytic enzymes. BTW, only one "s"...resveratrol.

Yea, my fingers aren't working today. How long have you been taking it? Any side effects you see from it? What was the most noticiable postive impact you saw from it? What else are you taking a long with it, besides what you listed above? RE: Reversatrol - John Winger - 03-05-2012 05:43 PM No side effects. It's not a drug. You'll have to look up the research as I don't know it off the top of my head. It's been studied for quite a few years, so I'm sure there's some good data to extract. Speaking of extract, you know where it comes from, right? I explain to my clients that supplementing with food-based anti-inflammatories is akin to trying to put out a forest fire with a squirt gun. It's only effective to help keep the fire from breaking out. When it works, you can't feel it. Just because it isn't a drug, doesn't mean it can't posess a side effect. I could never find the good long term studies on it. I found lots of good shorter term studies, but just the good long term ones, don't seem to exist. I will have to keep digging I guess. Thank you for the information. My point was that drugs don't really have "side" effects, they just have effects...many of which are detrimental to the body. And so I'll reiterate my earlier point: when a supplement is used correctly, you can't tell it's working. It's a large task to snap the medical model from the consciousness.
