Blog not refreshing? - harbl_the_cat - 06-28-2012 06:07 PM

For some reason the content on the blog isn't updating for me.

It seems stuck on the stories from the 21st.

I've refreshed the page, cleared cache, tried 2 different browsers, and rebooted my machine.

Any idea what's going on or are there any local settings on my machine that might be screwing me up?

I thought it was just me. Mine was stuck on the 22nd. I had to navigate to it this morning to get anything fresh.. I thought it was my Ipad or something..

I thought it was just me. Yesterday I called John to tell him the first page was showing posts from the 22nd but everything was fine on his computer. We had thought my computer was messed up. Apparently, the blog fixed itself.

I wonder if it is something on your end. I had the same issue as you, but it got fixed after the database upgrade I did.

Weird - my BB on my work's network can get it no problem.

My desktop on Ethernet can't.

Must be a local setting.

I had to delete what I had bookmarked, re-type in the website anew and then it worked.

We made a small change this weekend. During testing both John and I saw that http://www.brotherjohnf.com was working fine, while brotherjohnf.com (no www) was having problem refreshing.

We put a redirect to point everyone to the www. version. We think this has to do with the way you configure Wordpress, as it sorts all of it's links, etc... as the name of the website you put in, i.e. all links are stored as http://www.brotherjohnf.com and not brotherjohnf.com even though they both resolve to the same IP.
