Im new and just droped by to say hey! Im a guy that decided about 1 year ago not to be enslaved by the central banking systems policies and have been doing everything I can to eliminate all debt! And have been investing in silver, freezed dryed food, and last but certainly not least non-hybird seed! Since fiat money= debt I keep little of that stuff on hand!
Are there any like minded people here? And what types of silver do you invest in?

Hey there. If you read this site for a while you will find that we're all like minded regarding precious metals vs fiat money. As far as seed and food....yes to that too, although, I haven't really done much in those areas yet. I need to!!!!
Good to have you. Don't forget to go post on the silver sweepstakes thread, you could win an ounce of silver!
yep looks like you just found a lot of like minded friends ! lol welcome
Welcome to the forum - lots of great info and discussion here.
Welcome!! Your user name is a little self defeating... If you are truly "slow to learn", then you probably wouldn't have found your way to this site. With this group on here, you may find you will be "quick to learn"...

Hey Honey, LOL when I say that im usually talking to my wife! Yes slow to learn is a little defeating but I day trade crude oil futures every morn and im on a trading forum that I call myself slow to learn. On my trading forum they wouldnt argue with the fact that im slow to learn!

Welcome, slow to learn. It's awfully nice to have company...

Thanks for the welcome everyone!
Welcome to the forum. I hope to see your posts on what i bought today.
About half of my silver is US 90% coins 1964 and older....the other half are Maples, Cougars, Grizzlys, Timberwolf, Moose, Eagles, Taku's, Panda's, Koala, Ron Paul's, Engelhard Prospectors, Kookaburra's, and my most recent order that I placed yesterday, ten 1/2 oz Year of the Dragons. I don't buy "generic" silver rounds or bars. I mostly buy 1 ounce coins, but I do have some 10 ounce Perth Mint coins, and a few 10 ounce Engelhard old loaf style bars. 1964 Kennedy halves are my favorite, and I have tons of em. I like silver dimes too, nearly 5800 of them at that. The coolest coin ever is the 2012 Chinese Panda or the Canadian Timberwolf.
Sorry, the coolest coin ever is the 2011 Santa Maria. But those are pretty too :-p

Yeah... Maybe you should have a contest on here of some sort and the prize would be a Santa Maria coin! On second thought....nevermind... I just couldn't stand it if someone else won...

LOL I just dont get it! The prettyest cions I ever bought were some morgans that had been though a house fire, they were so black that you could hardly make out there mint date. What made them the prettyest coins I every bought is that I bought each of them @ $10.00 under there melt value!!!!!!!

Well slap me and call me sally!! That is a good price!
I have several old morgans and just love them for their history and obvious use. I have several other coin favorites and never even knew about the Santa Maria until our elustrious MOJO posted a picture. (Thanks MOJO!

) For a semi numismatic, it is one of the prettiest that I have seen. Also, I don't usually like the colorized ones (don't even own one..), but it is so tastefully done and full of such nice detail, there is just something about that coin. For some reason, I am not comfortable purchasing coins from ebay and so I may never get one. It that coin was on Gainsville, Provident or Apmex.. I would definately buy one. If anyone has seen it there.. let me know!!
Honey

Hey Honey, I guess I lied I do have a favorite cion if I were to be honest with you my favorite silver coin is the trade dollar! I bought one on ebay and payed $72.00 for it! This is a very cool USA trade dollar that has a bunch of chop marks from china! This is what im talking about. Just think if this cion could tell you what it was used for trade in china! And how it found its way back to the USA?

This is a really interesting coin!~ Really like it!! The look, age, etc.. but it is pretty pricey and not really familiar, so if the SHTF you may be hard pressed to trade it for goods. People know certain coins and this would be one that people would be reluctant to accept if that was the case.... IDK... It is an investment coin for sure... but not a trader coin. Regardless, still a very interesting coin! Thank you so much for posting the picture!
Honey
