I have a personal relationship with Christ and am indwelled with the Holy Spirit who guides me through life. He is my conscience. You can call that whatever you wish but I don't mind Christian. For years I was totally blind until I accepted the True Truth of Christ's sacrifice providing salvation and eternal life for all those that believe. The Gospel. That is my belief.
The most revealing thing when I became a believer was a new capability to understand the Holy Scriptures. Words that before had seemed like gibberish took on meaning and had purpose. In particular, the story of God's redemption of mankind which has existed since the beginning of time.
In fact, I see Christ revealed in every book of the King James bible which were written up to 4000 years apart - from Genesis to Revelation.
It is my strong belief that we must pursue the truth in love and kindness to all people of all beliefs and lifestyles.

i agree with everything you said. When I was saved about 20 years ago I started with the King James Bible until I started attending a church and some people there convinced me that the NIV was a better translation. I read the NIV for years until my husband (before we were married) became aware of the controversy over Gail Riplinger's book, "New Age Bible Versions". We were curious why the savage attack against her book, so we tried to buy a copy at a local Christain bookstore but they didn't carry it and they refused to order it for us. The owner warned us not to read it because it was poison! So we absolutely, positively knew we had to read that book so we ended up ordering it online. It was very eye opening.
Over the years we have come to a better understanding that the KJV is God's pure word in the English language. And if it's perfect there can only be one true version. All of the modern versions contradict themselves, the KJV, and each other. There are no mistakes or errors in the KJV. When an English speaking Christian comes to understand this then the Bible comes alive like never before. The Holy Spirit can reveal so much more from the Scriptures when a believer is not trying to correct them or cast doubt on them.
I should add that this is my opinion, and everyone's opinions are welcome here. This forum exists to allow free speech and a free exchange of ideas.
I grew up catholic and still believe but do not practice or participate in any organized religion. I just practice in my own way.
