I would like to get others insight on the Vatican calling to the implementation of a world bank. I recently watched a movie, titled In Time. It is about currency in units of time or minutes and you carry them in a "body clock". The remaining minutes, or bank account, are permanently displayed on your forearm. All transactions are in minutes! The movie storyline is very similar to the system we have today, minus some technological biology that, in my opinion could be easily overcome with today's technology. Besides the bad acting and heroic happy ending, something similar could be in mankind's future. It really made me think about the latest call by the Vatican for a world bank. The bible states we are headed this direction. I would love to read others theories on why the Vatican is leading the charge on this. I will reserve my own opinions for now. If you haven't seen the movie and you are interested in currency, inflation, control by the elites, one world banks etc I recommend you watch it. Just don't watch it for the acting.

I probably won't get to watch the movie unless it hits Netflix streaming but I will quickly say I believe the Roman Catholic Church is in the midst of the book of Revelation. I believe she is the woman who rides the beast. As the New World Order will have one government it will also have one central base for religion. My intent is not to offend Catholics although saying the RCC is the woman who rides the beast is hardly not offensive, I understand.
I was raised Catholic and also attended Catholic school so I speak from a background of complete understanding of Catholicism. I am not a practicing Roman Catholic in any way. I am a born again Christian and have been so 30 plus years. I hope that all would at least agree my history with the RCC gives me a platform to speak from.

one world goverment has long been a goal of the catholic church... no surprise there!
There is basically a quiet war taking place inside the Catholic Church. On the one hand, you have the older liberal generation who focus on worldly things instead of Godly things. This generation gives us things like liberation theology (basically communism), sex abuse scandals, and now this call for a world bank. On the other hand, you have the younger conservative generation who just wants to follow God's law and offer worship. This generation tends to place a lot of focus on the liturgy, restoring things like incense and like Latin chant. There political views are less-defined, mainly because they don't focus on those things.
In general, I would say that the conservatives are slowly gaining ground. The liberals are getting older and starting to retire, and the new generation is taking their place. Interestingly, despite his age, Pope Benedict seems to side with the conservatives. On the other hand, you have powerful people like Vatican Secretary of State Tarcisio Bertone who seem to stand in opposition to the pope. There have recently been a number leaked documents showing an
intense battle within the Vatican hierarchy. How this all plays out will be quite interesting.
As for the world-bank document itself, it was published by an obscure Vatican bureaucracy and is basically the opinion of its authors, not the Vatican as a whole. In fact, even Bertone has distanced himself from the document, and has
taken steps to stop Vatican offices randomly publishing stuff without his consent. As such, I wouldn't put too much stock in the document itself, other than to view it as a sign of an intense and mostly hidden internal war within the Vatican. Hopefully the "good guys" win and we can be through with this one-world nonsense.
I can't speak to the validity of the claim that the Vatican is calling for a world bank. What I will say is that a world bank is necessary for the mark to become a reality, and anybody calling for it is identifying who they serve.
I am a practicing Catholic myself. I feel very torn between what some in the Vatican are preeching and my personal beliefs. I am not in favor of a World Bank, or any multinational world government. The day may come where the Vatican attempts to take control via NWO and there will probably be a "schism" amoungst Catholics. There will be those that follow the path of world government and those who desert the church. I wish the church would speak up more clearly about much of the negative publicity it gets for all the scandals. I hope that for those out there who are sceptical of Catholics, do not associate that with all Catholics, many of us are good people and have very similar beliefs that Christianity in general has. I love God and I am a supporter of freedom and liberty.
Arcturus, all of us who share love for Christ are together in His body no matter the denomination. I for one would never condemn another person for being a different denomination, or even being of a different faith. Anybody who would might want to take a look at the mote in their own eye first. Just know that you can always go directly to the Lord. You don't need an intermediary.

I believe it is true that there exists two factions within the Vatican today and that they are, indeed, at war and the future existence of the Catholic Church is at stake
Faction One within the Vatican has come to believe that they own our Earthly Estate and that we the people of earth are its subjects ….... eternally enslaved to them. Faction One is about Power, Control & Greed, and they use the Military Industrial Complex and its arsenal of fear, violence, propaganda and terrorism to maintain the enslavement of mankind. Faction Two understands that the Vatican is but a Trustee responsible for the care and safekeeping of the estate until the people of earth are returned from being lost in the sea of illusion to redeem it.
Faction Two understands that the time is now. They understand that mankind is awakening to who we are, that we are standing up and taking back our power; that mankind demands the termination of the use of any excuse to rape, pillage and plunder the earth.
Faction Two understands that the riches held by the Vatican are actually held in trust for mankind to fund the abundance and prosperity of earth. They understand that these riches are our and some believe divine inheritance and do not in fact belong to the Vatican but to the world.
