Glad to have you back brotherjohnf, I was beginning to have withdrawal symptoms.
Who benefitted from JP Morgan's two billion dollar loss? As I understand investing when someone looses someone gains and vice versa. So, who gained by JP Morgan's loss. Will taxes be paid on the gain? JP Morgan will surely deduct two billion from any profits.
Off topic rant, sometimes I wish I wasn't a stacker, like right now. In hindsight if I got rid of most of my silver and gold when they started to crash I could of bought a bunch more now. I am still stacking with junk silver and Perth Mint silver coins, but, I have less discretionary funds now than when I was buying on the way up. I got caught up in stacking precious metals when the economy started to tank. The more the economy sucked the higher precious metals went. Then, with QE1, QE2, debt, inflation, unemployment, and all economic indicators showing that the world is in trouble big time, I bought more.
But instead of continuing to rise in value, precious metals are losing value. Very frustrating to say the least.
Premium gasoline is over $4.50 a gallon in my area. How much is it where you live?
