Obviously my view point is only loosly based on what i see in the media and on the internet as im from the UK, but Ron Paul seems to me like the only hope we had of America changing its ways for the better. Also he may have given rise to the possibility that the world would have changed for the better !!!
When I saw the results coming in from super Tuesday my heart sank .... why on earth would Americans vote for Mitt Romney ?! 1: hes a Mormon in a mostly christian country !!! 2: he's a multimillionaire 3: a tax dodger and here's 20 other reasons that not only make me sad that also make me a bit angry ............ Mitt Romney Top Contributors; Goldman Sachs $235,275 Citigroup Inc $178,450 Merrill Lynch $176,125 Morgan Stanley $170,350 Lehman Brothers $154,800 UBS AG $125,150 JPMorgan Chase & Co $123,800 Bain & Co $121,475 Marriott International $121,150 Bain Capital $118,550 Kirkland & Ellis $111,700 The Villages $110,900 Credit Suisse Group $104,900 Compuware Corp $103,550 Huron Consulting $102,050 PricewaterhouseCoopers $92,250 American Financial Group $87,550 Affiliated Managers Group $82,112 Cerberus Capital Management $79,450 Sun Capital Partners $77,850 The names on that list make my skin crawl!!..... so still my question remains ....why oh why are you guys still voting for this douche bag ?!

1 word. MEDIA
I never considered a difference of opinion in politics, in religion, in philosophy, as cause for withdrawing from a friend. -Thomas Jefferson To achieve Liberty and Peace two powerful Human emotions must be overcome. Number one is Envy. Number two is Intolerance. - Ron Paul I believe Banking Institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies - Thomas Jefferson People willing to trade their freedom for temporary security deserve neither and will lose both. - Benjamin Franklin |

RE: Why on earth are people voting for Mitt ?
I haven't voted for anyone, yet. Mittens is backed by the big money as pointed out above and as we March towards one world government most know he'll keep the Great American Sellout going at all costs. oh-boy! Invest in Vaseline and tucks pads and we'll be fine.
![]() I just wonder how much truth and honesty there is in the polls and Caucus. Probably not much. Remember the O promised that this was going to be the most open and transparent administration the world has ever seen! Heck he even won a peace prize! how cute. If that doesn't say it all then...? LOL, ull i gota hurl.. |

RE: Why on earth are people voting for Mitt ?
Great interview with Dr Paul Craig Roberts on RTAmerica explaining why Ron Paul didn't get the support many of us expected. This is IMO the most logical explanation as opposed to those like Alex Jones who say it was election fraud on a massive scale everytime RP gets a dissapointing result.

RE: Why on earth are people voting for Mitt ?
MSNBC had a voter breakdown based on income level (taken from exit polls and entrance polls) and they found that those making over $100,000 is where the meat of his demographic is. Not only that, but more people in the upper income bracket are coming out to vote than they had done in previous elections.

Without dovulging too much personal info, I make well over 100k and support Ron Paul

I think an important fact is that the age demopgrapgic that vote in conservative primaries are predominatly seniors aged 50- 70, mainly baby boomers that were brought up on the welfare state, free shools free healthcare, cheap money, the system has served them well up until 2008. They call themselves conservative and want big spending cuts, but deep down they really want the welfare wagon to continue, thats why Rommney in their man. I'd rather see ron paul as fed chairman or sec. Treasury than president. They probably have more power. Definitely fed chairman.

RE: Why on earth are people voting for Mitt ?
Saw this on a News Link email I subscribe to. Clicked on the link and the article was gone. Gee, I wonder who doesn't want people to read something like this .....
US: Mainstream media has gleefully reported that Ron Paul did not win any straw polls in the Super Tuesday primaries. What they did NOT tell you is that he still could win the GOP nomination through his strategy of collecting delegates. Here are the facts. AJC 2012 Mar 8 (Cached) The link to the article is HERE. |
