RE: Where to go to avoid capital gains tax...
There is a US $10,000.00 limit when leaving the country to carry with you.
Be it 10K in Silver/Gold/Fiat/etc..... I have heard rumblings of a new 'law' that takes that down even more. http://www.taxrates.cc has Tax Codes for EVERY country, and most will tell if Capital Gains Taxes are enforce or not. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_gains_tax Has some good info. My ultimate Advice....Have you money in Country 1, Your Citizenship in Country 2, and your Residence in Country 3 I never considered a difference of opinion in politics, in religion, in philosophy, as cause for withdrawing from a friend. -Thomas Jefferson To achieve Liberty and Peace two powerful Human emotions must be overcome. Number one is Envy. Number two is Intolerance. - Ron Paul I believe Banking Institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies - Thomas Jefferson People willing to trade their freedom for temporary security deserve neither and will lose both. - Benjamin Franklin |

(03-28-2012 03:46 PM)Dom2012 Wrote: but im in the UK How was I supposed to know? You didn't say you were in the UK. The links I provided are still valid. The only invalid piece would be the US $10k you can take with you. Mexico has a Capital Gains Tax, except on transfer of personal items. So while you could transfer your Silver there, without paying Capital Gains, selling it is a completely different story. Dom2012
Forgive me for being nosy, but are you Domino on another board? A board that is concerned with a fuel cell company. It would be quite cool if he/she is you. |

Not sure if you still can in the UK, but your local farmers market, cash sale... of course, you wouldn't have sold anything if anyone asks... right?
Just kidding... criminal tax evasion is illegal and not recommended. May the best pet win! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2Ltv9fjVe4 |

Rick Mercer has it spot on! Just finished with our accountant and am feeling much the same . . .
