What Side Of The Fence Do You Ride On?
It was suggested that maybe there should be a poll taken on what side of the fence your politics are on! Idea So I thought it would be interesting because from what I see here there are quit a few lefty stacker's around. This is very surprising to me and to be honest quit alarming as well! Being a lefty and a stacker is like being an atheist and faithfully going to church every Sunday!!!!!! Tongue

RE: What Side Of The Fence Do You Ride On?
Left and right are two sides on the same coin yielding debt and death. The US constitution, while being the greatest political document ever implemented is ultimately flawed (just look at where the US is now). It is foolish not to care as government poses such a huge influence over other people (30% net tax or more in many cases).

So, none of the above. I believe in not imposing force on other people.

I believe a large percentage of the PM community would describe their political views as Libertarian or Anarcho-Capitalist. I am a Constitutionalist but I think I have more in common with Libertarianism, and even Anarcho-Capitalism, than with the right or far-right.

The left - right paradigm is a bit old. There is only tyranny and freedom. I am against collectivism/ statism but if people want to try and label me, i guess I'm right wing.

Yes. I am new to the stacking forums but the truth be told I was surprised on how many people on this site comment to the left! I thought for sure that when I joined this site it would be full of strict constitutionalists and survivalist! Just like the poll I took on if people on this site believed that the Elites though the central banks were enslaving the nations of the world. Only 50% thought that to be true!

It is very surprising to me that people would have the mind set to educate themselves enough to stack metals but not to educate themselves of there surroundings and the history of money creation!

I enjoy this site very much and have learned a lot from even the lefties on here!!!!!!!

RE: What Side Of The Fence Do You Ride On?
Well, I can't believe I'm the only poster here who is right of center, even if by not much. I consider myself to be a conservative libertarian. I used to be left of center so I guess I am always moving and keeping an open mind. However I am becoming more detached from politics like many others on here as I realise how corrupt the system is.
If I was american, then absolutely I would be a constitutionist. Mojofabulous, you are just sitting on the fence, but as a libertarian I vigorously defend your right to do just that.

Don't mistake my hesitancy to label myself with a group of people who might or might not have views that coincide exactly with mine at all times as 'sitting on the fence' :-)

If you're a libertarian you believe in the value of individualism over collectivism. Labels are a collectivist idea. However, I think you'll find that I agree with most the people here.

I guess you spell it constitutionalist, and not the way I spelt it. I don't spell many words wrong and I excuse myself this time as I am english and not overly familiar with the word. So there you are.
Travis, I noticed that you admitted to be being right wing, so I do have company. You couldn't have voted though, hey.
Finally, I identify constitutionalism as being more right wing oriented rather than left wing, possibly because the Democrats don't seem to have much respect for it whereas the Republicans hold it in high esteem.

Mojo, you make a good point there. I guess we are all against tyranny and big government, and that we are all different shades of grey.

RE: What Side Of The Fence Do You Ride On?
Well I voted to the right of centre but not sure that means too much in Canada. It seems whoever gets elected seems to move to the centre in their actions. I live in a province that is NDP (Left) but it would be hard to tell most of the time. Our federal government is the Conservative Party and they have wiped out the centre / left party the Liberals. I would say they hold the centre on most issues in their actions.

RE: What Side Of The Fence Do You Ride On?
I'm generally left on social issues and right (not Republican, as I don't think the current republican party is very fiscally responsible) on fiscal issues, and more Libertarian/Isolationist on most foreign issues. So, whatever that makes me - I suppose more Libertarian with progressive tendencies.

I believe that the Left and Right Democrats and Republican are being used to divide and concur! The central planners have infatuated each party and own and control them and there media! They use the two party system to get there bills and laws past that favor there agenda in a so called ''bipartisan'' way! Remember it was Gorge Bush a Republican that pasted the patriot act! This act took most all individual rights and freedoms and though it out the window! There is no difference between the two parties and hasn't really ever been! It is another illusion created by the master illusionists or the elite of the central banks!

This is why I hate Democrats and Republicans and have affiliated with the purest from of government and that is,'' the least government possible'' as the Constitution was designed! The Constitution was constructed to protect the people from government! That is why I am a ''Constitutionalists''!!!!
