RE: UK Bullion Deals
Some great tips and sites on this thread.
I have used http://bullionbypost.co.uk to buy a couple ounces of gold and a kilo bar of silver + some Silver Britannias. All prices include insured delivery. Really straight forward transactions. I've rang and paid by debit card before instead of paying via wire. Once again UK so full 20% VAT for silver purchases but found them to be reasonable. May experiment with some of these suggested on this thread. |

Hello again NBStack sorry not got back sooner, I'm in middle of a house move so i've got loads on. Anyways I received my parcel from Nufira in a similar timeframe although they weren't as well packaged as 1oz.si. Also i'd placed 2 orders within a few days with them but all 5 oz's came in 1 package even though I paid delivery twice. No mention of a refund on the extra delivery charge.. Also capsules were a bit scrappy even though they'd been wrapped in protective foam and one of the coins had minor scuffs.. So do as you please but I think 1oz.si is worth dealing with but Nufira not so much IMO... Also I'm awaiting a package of 2 silver Irbis from Kazcoins.com I'll let you know outcome on those as well

RE: UK Bullion Deals
I received both my irbis from kazcoins and my rwanda rhinos from nufira. The capsules that the rhinos come in kinda suck, but they are in capsules. The packing was good enough.

No tax that I noticed. I've sold 5 of my coins, the mayflower was the only one I lost money on.

RE: UK Bullion Deals
1/4 oz gold krugerrands advertised in saturday's Daily Mail. Only £345! that's $540 US. Works out to $2160 an ounce.
You can get them from coinportfoliomanagement. Any takers? Guess not! |

If you pay the 7% tax in the country you purchase in you wont have to pay the VAT again bringing it into the UK. There are rules and regulations about taking delivery and location but if you do take delivery in another EU country and pay your tax you cant be charged again after in the UK when you bring it home. I have checked this personally with HM customs & excise and regularly purchase in Europe simply to save myself 13% tax. There is nothing illegal about it the UK is an EU member and you cannot be charged VAT twice in the EU in different member countries. Newbie to the forum here ![]() I have heard so much conflicting information on this and thought the opposite from what I have read. Anyway I just rang HMCR on 0845 010 8500 and I cant believe it was confirmed what you wrote!....Just bought from coinsinvestdirect (and not the first time) at 20%vat on silver coins, it was a big order to, for me.....now I am sad......but guess I will arrange my own courier next time. Thanks for the post your certainty actually caused me to make the call. |

RE: UK Bullion Deals
You can try libertysilver.ee from Estonia. They sell to those in UK and EU countries without VAT (?).
