Have seen it several times & would definitely suggest you taking a gander at it Honey.

The movie is quite blunt with what takes place on a subtle level throughout society. "Ironic" that the film basically 'predicts' what society is undergoing at this very moment.

VigilantCitizen is an absolutely outstanding website for research. Their articles are so concise and incisive it is always worth one's time to take a peek at what has been disseminated. The article written on the DIA was the one that made me gravitate towards that website as a matter of fact. One can spend hours upon hours there without batting an eyelash so to speak.

After rewatching the movie a while ago, it really made me consider everything that comes out of the box, as well as all advertisements and all other propaganda in society for that matter.

Should be definitely worth your time.

Thanks! I'll definately have to watch this.

Yeah... there is a lot of interesting reads on that site. The Denver airport piece was what lead me to that site initially. I do bop in occasionally to see what is new there.. The pics of the month are also very creepy and telling...

The feeling is definately there.
It's a new morning in Amerika.
Fresh, vital.
The old cynicism is gone.
We have faith in our leaders.
We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all.
It really boils done to our ability to accept.
We don't need pessimism.
There are no limits.
We must look to the strength of our nation.

RE: "They Live"... cult classic.. Have you seen it?
Jam packed with symbolism....and a personal favorite of mine. The fight scene is a terrific omage to Roddy's past...and also, for the great fight scenes from older movies....where they lasted a good long time. The alley fight scene may even be longer than John Wayne's brawl with the brother in law in the "Quiet Man".

The most overlooked portion is in fact what is happening in the USA of present day....where sides are being chosen. The thing about traitors is that they don't require random selection, volunteers, or lottery drawings. They are a breed of people apart from others...and willingly step forward and embrace the role of the "sell-out". They are the softest...and most mentally weak of people...unprincipled, and without moral boundaries or ethics....so the need and desire to garner a "cushy" existence in the midst of tyranny has overwhelmed their psyche....reason and critical thinking is out of the question....all that remains is deviant scheming and calculations.

AS's "The Gulag Archipelago" (I and II) touches on this dynamic....it's amazing how callous and removed people become when they are thrown into the abyss of tyranny. They no longer care about their fellow men and women. The re-education and labor/internment camps for the "problem" people...and those suspected of free thought and dissident potential were not staffed primarily by guards with guns. They required these willing "sell-outs" to manage the prison's populations. The slang for these sell-outs was a "Trusty"...or trustees. The fear of slow motion starvation was powerful in the Gulag system of the Soviet Union....so jockeying to secure such a position was an all encompassing and mind consuming ordeal for those weak minded groups that were not bothered by morality or ethics.

This is another reason why people have been speaking more about open civil war as a more probable outcome than a new American Revolution. The amount of "sell-outs" in this country is probably alot greater than most would care to admit, accept, or analyze at this time. The new Roman Empire is predicated upon building a machine run by "Trustees" that don't question...and don't engender the critical thought process. Big govt. has ballooned to the point where the business cycle is dominated by corporations tethered to govt spending programs and alphabet agencies that cater to the weak minded that are more than eager to embrace the entitlement systems.

"They Live" is a hard/easy pill to swallow...depending upon what type of person you are. The 'go along to get along' types that are destined to fulfill the role of the "sell-out" will probably not appreciate the movie....forever reminding them of their chosen path. The "live free or die" types will most likely appreciate the movie...and it will resonate with them in how degraded society has become....and how few in numbers their category of people truly represent. The people with courage to buck the system are without a doubt...not the majority....they are the overwhelming minority....and to awaken their fellow citizens to the dire realities of what's going on.....is pretty much a 'fighting proposition'.

"Damn right I'm here on business....and yes, I'm fresh outta bubblegum!"
