RE: The Parkster Stack
Great collection on the video!and then you stacked up about $8k more?I'd say you are doing really well.Keep doing what you are doing and enjoy it.In my case I started with some well known coins ie eagles maples philharmonics etc,got some bars and now am spending a few dollars on attractive high premium coins.Price is important but just as important is the price a dealer or other collector will pay when you sell something.Certain 1 ozers are sold at a premium and when you sell it should hold up too.Dont get caught up in wild multiples of spot for example a 1 oz selling for $100 or in the case of the hedgehogs,$600 or more because you will only get what someone else is willing to pay for it.

RE: The Parkster Stack
Parkster, have you thought about buying your silver in Germany. You would pay only 7% VAT instead of 20% here. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have to pay the extra 13% on bringing it back home.
Are you going to take possession of all that silver? Consider having some of it stored with Bullionvault as they have zero premiums it would seem. Their buy and sell price is very very close to the spot price. I have bought some silver with Goldmoney but now I will use Bullionvault. As an aside I think that happened in the French and Greek elections yesterday was quite bullish for gold and silver so you are putting your money in the right place I reckon. |

Very kind of you to offer your sevices Mojo! I'm 94% certain that we would be obliged to pay that lovely 20% value added tax. We love it in rip off Britain! we pay more for everything, even sex! And I'm not going to tell you how much we pay for cigarettes as you might faint and hurt yourself. |

As for buying and storing in Germany, I just dont like the idea of not having it in my hand. Frankly I dont trust any company or bank, and with the storage fees etc its not for us.............. Though thinking about it, I may reconsider when we start hitting £100 a coin! 20% would become very noticeable, will cross that bridge when we come to it. Yeh the 20% sucks! But the real true price that people pay for the silver here in the UK ie ebay etc, offsets the VAT. I buy for longtem, silver will go parabolic in a few years, so i dont cry if i pay slightly more over spot then other people in other countrys. We are just thankfull that we broke away from the heard(woke up!) and that we still have time to stack! As for this fiat £5000, were eager to trade for shiny silver coins, but am waiting to pull the trigger. We feel it may go lower which means more oz's!!!! ![]() we hope!!

RE: The Parkster Stack
No Parkster! I'm not saying have your metal stored in Germany. Go to CoininvestDirect.com right now. Click on 'pick-up in Germany' and they explain to you a legal loop-hole where you pay only the German 7% VAT. You can pick it up in person or you can use a courier company. Basically, you are using a third party, in this case Via-Mat, to circumvent the british VAT. Your metal is bought by them first and then you get it off them, well something like that.
On a £5k transaction you would save £325 on the VAT. The cost of using using a courier would be a fraction of that so you would be making a healthy saving. |

RE: The Parkster Stack
When I was falling asleep this tread was running through my mind. It really bugs me you Brits have to pay so much tax on real money, it is just wrong. I remember a Canadian dealer who sends bullion through the mail like a personal letter. No taxes! His website is http://www.canadiansilverbullion.com he only sends one or two coins at a time and shipping is included in the price. I hope this helps!

RE: The Parkster Stack
Brilliant, thanks Viper, will look into it now. This is why were called rip off britian! Honestly it takes the piss over here for taxes. The latest one to hit our ecomony is the pastie tax! Yes pastie tax! If its warmed up, its considered to have used energy to warm it, so the goverment want a slice of that too! The sqeeze on the middle class and the small shops continues....
Both me and Sarah want a fresh start away from the UK, we want the work less play more life style, good weather, etc When silver does go to the Mars, were trading it in for real estate/farm land, print the CV's off and get outa here! Were hoping to travel by motorcycle to OZ via africa and asia. Big dreams, but lifes what you make it eh! Canada is also an option, we have a while to think about it, apply for visas

Parkster, have you noticed how much the 2005 Britannias go for on the Gainesville site? Quite impressed by the rate of appreciation in just seven years.

No how much? I plan to order 30 Britiannias on the next order, lets hope there worth a bit more in a little less than 7 years!
![]() I checked that canadanian site, hate to say it, but we can undercut him in the UK, atkinsons really cannot be beaten for UK silver and seems it can even beat foreign dealers when shipping etc is included. |

I don't think i am allowed to say yes on this forum.
Do we even know if there would be a tax advantage to doing that? Assumptions are the most dangerous things in the universe. |

Parkster, our tax problem may have been solved! Thanks to Kapten Hornstand's tip on another thread. Go to Libertysilver of Estonia if you have not already.
I am busy watching the Grand Prix and then off to work so I will look into it more deeply later on. |

RE: The Parkster Stack
You can buy silver for under spot on Provident Metals and for Spot on Gainesville... Junk Silver sells for the same amount as Engelhard at 99% of the dealers across the land when you go to sell... If you use Junk Silver as legal tender in Utah or South Carolina they dont have charts that state values... Silver is Silver...

RE: The Parkster Stack NEW VIDEO Part 2
i think youre new purchase couldnt be any better, you go some nice half oz pieces, some rcm coins (which i personally think are the best to stack period), and that treasures of austrailia set is awesome, you plan to collect any more of them?, im not big on the pandas or brits, but to each is own, overall your collection is very nice, i like the variety, and youre collecting coins that are popular and have good demand. have any plans to get some kooks, takus or elephants?

RE: The Parkster Stack NEW VIDEO Part 2
Thanks Prince. The treasures of oz coin was a one off present, and we feel we have enough numi coins now, so will just be getting the most silver for our buck from now. Saying that the real bargains are the canada wildlife series(semi numi play maybe?) with my dealer, so i shall be stacking alot more of those! The brits are far from my fav also but feel we needed some as were in the UK.
We would love some Takus and elephants! There hard to get in Uk but i think we will try get some next month. What does your stack consist of prince? |
