RE: The GOD Particle' have we found it???
I think it is amazing how intricate God has made our universe. The tiniest details are in His design and we can hardly grasp what we are discovering. God is amazing!
Those who are unwilling to invest in the future haven't earned one. ~H.W. Lewis |

It is very interesting to say the least. What I fear though, as with most Scientific advances is this will force us to relearn everything we thought we knew. This has the potential to change the Universe as we know it. It would be similar if we ever proved String Theory.

This has the potential to change the Universe as we know it. It would be similar if we ever proved String Theory. What's to fear? (not trying to be confrontational kshy) God is boundless and even in this finding man is still only scratching the surface. Take note to what the young physicist, Martin Archer, said ..... "this is the last piece of one jigsaw puzzle, there is a whole other jigsaw puzzle underneath it". I will make a statement, which can only be conjecture on my part, that discovery if allowed to continue would not cease at the end of the next puzzle. There is a book and a DVD called "The Privileged Planet" published in 2004 that is quite remarkable. I copied and pasted the inside flap information from the book below. In bold and underline you will read a statement that I believe is quite striking. It is so much like the God who loves us so to do such a thing. Is Earth merely an insignificant speck in a vast and meaningless universe? On the contrary. The Privileged Planet: How Our Place in the Cosmos Is Designed for Discovery shows that this cherished assumption of materialism is dead wrong. Earth is a lot more significant than virtually anyone has realized. Contrary to the scientific orthodoxy, it is not an average planet around an ordinary star in an unremarkable part of the Milky Way. In this original book, Guillermo Gonzalez and Jay W. Richards present a staggering array of evidence that exposes the hollowness of this modern dogma. They demonstrate that our planet is exquisitely fit not only to support life, but also gives us the best view of the universe, as if Earth-and the universe itself-were designed both for life and for scientific discovery. Readers are taken on a scientific odyssey from a history of tectonic plates, the wonders of water, and solar eclipses, to our location in the Milky Way, the laws that govern the universe, and the beginning of cosmic time. You will discover: • How Earth is precisely positioned in the Milky Way-not only for life, but also to allow us to find answers to the greatest mysteries of the universe • Striking ways in which water doesn't behave like most other liquids-and how each of its quirks makes it perfectly fit for the existence of creatures like us • The harmony of Earth and the Moon: how they work together to sustain Earthly life as one intricate system-and how that system produces the best solar eclipses just where there are observers to see them • How Earth's atmosphere helps protect us from harmful radiation, yet has a tiny window open to the radiation crucial for life and scientific knowledge • How Jupiter and Saturn protect Earth from cataclysmic destruction • Why the best scientific evidence refutes the misnamed Copernican Principle-the widely held idea that there is nothing special about Earth or its place in the universe • How the laws and constants that govern the universe must be narrowly fine-tuned for the existence of any complex life • Copernicus: how the popular idea of his achievement and its significance contains more ideologically skewed myth than historical fact • Why the sheer number and size of galaxies does not mean that Earth's capacity to sustain life is just the result of blind chance The Privileged Planet's astounding findings should lead any individual to reevaluate entrenched assumptions about the universe-and even to reconsider our very purpose on what so many have dismissed as nothing more than an accident of cosmic evolution. |

I guess that speaks to the difference of one who believes the bible and it being the written word of God. We who do have no problem with what man understands and it being trumped by a new (expanding) discovery. This has happened down through the ages. Read Chapter 38 of Job where God lays out the foundation of the world to Job. How about Matthew Fontaine Maury (1806-1873) who is regarded as the father of oceanography not only here in the USA but across the world. He dedicated his life to searching out the pathways in the seas. Why do such a thing? Psalm 8:8 (KJV) (8) The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. He based his study of oceanography just on what is underlined in the above scripture. Faith in God's word caused him to search out and find all the pathways in the seas that no one knew existed. This changed the world at that time and all those channels are used today. The bible is full of truths about this world and universe laid down in print long before man discovered such truths. The new discoveries by man only prove an architect and designer of all things. |

RE: The GOD Particle' have we found it???
Remember that this has not been conclusively proven.
Some are not calling it a god particle but a Higg's particle reaction. Even if they get close to the idea of how matter hold together that is the basis of this whole thing. They still wont be able to see it or figure it out. In the end they will say it is an invisible force that cannot be measured. Plus you must keep in mind there are about 7 of these particle colliders, the one in Europe being the largest but there is one in Illinois, in Texas, California, and other places as well. and they are now telling us that the mathematics behind physics and astrophysics is incorrect after over 100 years of teaching it, they have proven that the math is incorrect. and that most of what they were searching for is now out of their reach of understanding. So never fear the MSM and science falsely so called. Visit my Blog New articles as I can Post them @ http://chettesblog.wordpress.com |

Higgs Boson went to church but the Vicar barred him from entering. Mr Higgs said "why wont you let me in you can't have mass without me!"
