Silver VS Apple
So, about a year back, I sold my shares of apple, and put it into physical silver. As may of you know, AAPL is doing insanely well, and I have been getting really upset with myself thinking about the money that I could have made, or the amount that I'd be up now if I were to still have my shares.
Can any of you offer any insight or advice on why Ill still do really well holding silver? And I realize AAPL can't go up forever, but it seems pretty unstoppable right now, and id be up more than 100%...Sad

I can feel your pain, however you can't go back in time. Take solace in the fact that one day your silver will be a more valuable asset.

Going forward aapl will go down from here they are in a bubble...silver will give you a 100% return in the coming years....and at least you can sleep at night knowing you're not invested in an evil/ immortal company like apple !!!!

RE: Silver VS Apple
Apples as sir Issac newton observed are subject to gravity Wink Apple may well continue up for a long time to come but what makes their product like so many others work so well is silver.

Investing to make wealth isnt the same as protecting your wealth. If you wanted silver as a fast get rich quick investment you obviously made the wrong choice, if you bought silver for protection then if I were you id pay Apple shares no mind.

PM markets are what they are, if your not suited to the short term volatility don't play in this market. If you look long term I don't think you'll regret it much later

Voluntarily bashes gold or silver BS when seen or heard .... for free

RE: Silver VS Apple
Apple has had a 50% run in just a few months. Buying it now would basically be the definition of foolishness. The stock market is rigged. The money masters determine the flow of currency and the flow of information. Own stocks and you are at their mercy, completely. Owning physical silver puts you at the mercy of....yourself.

RE: Silver VS Apple
To paraphrase one of my teachers, you'll go insane if you keep looking back at what "could've been" when it comes to investing. Keep you mind in the here and now, with what you have and why you have it. Paper ponzi aside, you have an investment with no counter-party risk, lots of room to grow and will never be worth nothing.

I've seen some people keep some money in the paperponzi, but only as a gambling tool really. If they can squeeze out a few extra bucks to buy silver, then great. But slow accumulation seems to be the name of the game for most people.

RE: Silver VS Apple
If 100 years ago you could tell someone you are investing in silver, they would be like "wtf, man?"
