RE: SSBS Medallion Looking Good!!!
SSSB coin, buy it if you want but for me its pretty much as maddog says, a marketing stunt for a sub standard round. If people wish to buy then thats upto them, for me there are far better options of investing in silver thank you.
Voluntarily bashes gold or silver BS when seen or heard .... for free |

For the amount of work and costs going into producing a new coin from scratch (two sculptures to pay and many other costs), it is fairly priced. The coin tells a story and I think it is a very vallid story. If you don't like the coin, don't buy it. That is your right. For once, I am going to disagree with Shimmy and give this coin my absolute approval. I love it.
Can I order it from the UK? |

It the video that shows the second version of the coin. |

RE: SSBS Medallion Looking Good!!!
got an e-mail back on the SSBS Medallion
1) While this is a BU product, we are working on obtaining higher quality blanks to help with these issues, but not necessarily "cure" them. If, when you receive your medallions, you are totally unsatisfied with them, we are offering exchanges once we obtain the better blanks. 2) An exact mintage number has not been released. The number is over 50,000oz because the sale changed from an ordering cap to an ordering deadline. No more medallions may be ordered to date, so once the number is verified, it will be final. Feel free to contact me with any further questions. |

RE: SSBS Medallion Looking Good!!!
I purchased these coins to show some gratitude for all the videos Chris made. I also thought what the hell it is still an oz. of silver so what can you lose? However after getting mine i was a little sorry i didn't spend my money on some really nice coins that had the same premium. The quality has to be the worst coins in my pretty substantial collection. I thought the design he was showing was something i would like and never really thought they would be a collectors coin. However i would never sell these on ebay to anyone. I would feel guilty selling these to anyone without seeing them. If you want to support Chris fine, but do not buy these with the anticipation of having a valuable numi. I am surprised by the quality. I don't know if i got rejects by mistake or they are all like mine. These are not Eagles or Maples or anything from the big mints. Were these a ploy just to make money or a first attempt and are the best they can do i will never know. I would like to hear from Chris as to is he proud of what he shipped or as disappointed as i am with the quality. I wrote to him but he never replied. I just wanted to share my experience and would like to hear what other people thought.

RE: SSBS Medallion Looking Good!!!
I just saw this while watching a youtube video... very interesting the similarity and correlation.. wonder what the 5 arrows mean to the R Family... The video seems to describe them as 1 arrow per family for the 5 R's.
here is the link to the you tube video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_9iBaK8f...ure=g-hist Time: 1:03-1:05 |
