RE: How did you wake up?
Last year around July. Going through a box that I had kept some old jewelry and trinkets from childhood, I came across two silver quarters, can't remember where or how I came about them. I wondered what they might be worth so I checked the internet, about 7 bucks each (last years price) holy crap! Ever since then been accumulating more 90% and various 1 oz govt and rounds, oh yeah and some gold (so expensive but worth it). Wish I knew about stacking years ago. I remember reading that Kiyosaki was investing in PM's ($5/oz. silver), thought it was only for the "big boys" to play. I had no idea about buying 1 oz bullion coins. I would imagine there are many others out there that would like to invest in PM's that don't know how easy it is to get started. When the masses do find out and the dollar starts tanking, think that might bring some upward pressure on prices?

Even then most people still won't buy. When the price gets high enough then big investors like billionaires, hedge funds, can start buying then the price will explode. The price has to go up to go up.

RE: How did you wake up?
In the late 80s/early 90s my partner at the time was involved in the forestry industry as an activist for sustainable logging. Industry had moved into the boreal forest of my province, Saskatchewan, and the resulting clearcutting had spawned a citizen movement to regulate the practice.
As a member of a local forestry group, my partner was invited to a government/industry/activist conference in Regina, the provincial capital. During a break, she and another member of her group were outside having a smoke and noticed the government minister responsible for forestry was also outside. They approached him and started questioning him about the governments "insane forestry regulations" He took a drag off of his smoke, looked down, paused and then nodded his head. He raised his head up and said: "We (the government) don't make the decisions here. The decisions are made by the bankers in New York." I questioned both my partner and the other woman extensively about the incident. My memory isn't good enough to remember any other specific quotes. Both the women left the conversation feeling that the minister was a good person in a bad situation. I stopped watching the news around this time. A method that the Nobility use to drain the energy out of any Serfs that question their slavery is to appoint them to government advisory boards. I've seen countless activists burnt out by sitting on boards or commitees that had no power. They make recommendations that are not legally binding and waste their time and resources on bullshit. As I reach the later part of my current existence on this planet, I am still full of questions. I have learnt a few things though. In no particular order: Throw out your TV, it is sucking the life out of you. Connect/reconnect with family and friends. Get to know your neighbour. The policeman is not your friend. The government is not currently representing your best interests. Find a spiritual center or basis for your life, it helps. Using consumerism as a life model sucks. Stay calm, be brave, wait for the signs - Jasper Friendly Bear |

RE: How did you wake up?
When I got back from the wars and out of the army, I went digging for answers, truth as I see it now. But slowly with time I begin to see the light and then dove in face first and have been trying to wake up others along the way, only last year did I start sticking silver, wish I would have started sooner but no big deal, still stacking.

RE: How did you wake up?
Was so deep in sleep up to 12/1/2011, had no clue that the underground news media, youtube and RT existed to the extent they do. I had an insert in a mailer advertising the America the Beautiful 5 oz coins from a coin dealer who had slabbed them and was pitching them at 50% above spot price. The information on the flyer was intriguing he quoted the USGS and various articles stating that silver was indeed a rarity and may be the first element on the table to become extinct. Well that got my spidy senses going, I set out to verify every assertion on his flyer and that I did. I also figured that the 2010 issuance was still available from the mint, specifically the Mt. Hood and determined that the mintage was low enough to warrant purchasing a few. The rabbit hole just seemed to get deeper and deeper, the more I read and the more I researched, the more I was certain that silver has a great investment opportunity. Then I realized that it has an opportunity that is unmatched in preserving purchasing power and family life preservation in the event of a collapse/crisis. I read Peter Schiff's books along with Friedman's "Money Mischief," great read - this is where Bernanke borrowed his helicopter reference (although Milton uses the reference to indicate a negative monetary practice, Ben uses it as a manifesto). Also read "When Money Dies," the Weimer republic hyperinflation chronicle. Wow, history may not repeat, but it sure does rhyme. It is amazing however I also seek to learn alternate views to my own because everything I now see in the news and/or wall street and DC I feel can be interpreted into maintaining the facade. Funny thing is I feel so certain as to the consequences of our current currency crisis I wonder why so few other people are as aware. I don't chew people's ear off on the subject unless they are willing and show a general interest in the ideas and hypothesis, most people do not want to know. They don't want to know that there is an absolute certainty that ten years from today everything as we now know it will have changed and the current financial structure of the world will have collapsed. Most people don't care to go to the doctor, he may just tell them something is wrong.

RE: How did you wake up?
Talking about "the masses", I just asked 35 random people at my work the simple question if they invest in Precious Metals?? Only 1 replied yes, and I'm talking men and women that have huge 401K's and savings, this isn't a retail outlet or some thing like that. Out of the 1 that said yes, he doesn't even invest in silver and simply said he holds physical gold.
Wow it gets lonely out here some days, glad to have the board where I don't feel such a loner and draw strength during those down days from all of you here. Much thx to brother John and everyone here. GOD BLESS THE REPUBLIC!! |

RE: How did you wake up?
For me it all started about 3 years age when I first got interested in day trading. As time went on I became interested in economic cycles, this lead me to the creation of money and that lead me to the central banking system! I wanted to know who owned the central banks. As time went on my eyes were wide opened, for the first time I was able to see that what I called freedom was just an illusion and that not only the United States but the world was enslaved buy the elite that control our monetary policies. The elite enslave us though money creation, inflation, deflation and war, all of witch is a product of debt!
Most all nations allow a privatly owned central bank to creat money from debt! Until nation take back there ability to creat its own currencies debt free we will alway live an illusion of freedom until it completly distroys evey fiber of our independence! "If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered...I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs." 1802, Thomas Jefferson. Did you all know that Thomas Jefferson was a fortune teller and could obviously see into the future? The only thing Thomas Jefferson missed was the fact that the banking institutions would become the standing armies! |

RE: How did you wake up?
I guess I can say that like everyone else I was born awake, yet the babylon failed to make me fall asleep. They call it Indigo. School never got me. The true awakening however happened.when I stopped struggling. The rest including silver just derived from there.
