Himalayan Pink Salt
I use this for detoxing and for general hydration, sometimes i'll even suck a crystal and flush it down with pure water filtered water as i like the taste, It's totally different to that sodium ferrocyanide poison that they pass off as Table Salt. You'll notice the affects after a week or so, Clarity of thought and all round general well being.

Himalayan Crystal Salt
An essential element of life

What am I?
Himalayan Crystal Salt originates from the primal seas of millions of years ago, where life began. It has been dried by the sun at a time where pollution did not exist. Despite what we have been led to believe, salt is equally as important to the human body as water. Obviously, we are not talking about refined table salt which is nothing more than a white poison.

What’s in me?
Himalayan Crystal Salt is totally pure and contains every mineral and trace element found in the human body.

What can I be used for?
• As long as you’re drinking enough water, salt is absolutely essential for the body to generate hydroelectric energy, maintain good blood chemistry, and balance the correct amount of water in our blood and cells.
• Crystal salt helps to restore and balance the body’s energy and rebalance acid-alkaline levels.

How can I be used?
• Crystal salts are extremely versatile and can be used to flush the sinuses.
• As an eye bath to restore moisture to dry eyes.
• As a cleansing bath that has a detoxifying effect.
• For beauty masks and wraps.
• As a “sole solution” (so-lay): To make a sole solution simply add a desert spoon of crystals into a glass jar then fill with water. Put the lid on and leave for 24hrs for the crystals to dissolve. Once dissolved add some more, up until such time that the crystals stop dissolving. At this point the solution is saturated at 26% and ready for consumption. Take 1 teaspoon every morning in a glass of water before breakfast. Just one glass of sole a day brings amazing benefits and has positive effects on health.
• If you are exercising and sweating a lot, it is vital that you replace your mineral levels as well as water levels to avoid sodium depletion. Using Himalayan Rock Salt in a weak solution with water is the most natural and effective way of re-hydrating your body. About a quarter of a teaspoon of salt for every litre of water is a good balance.

Whence come I and whither go I? That is the great unfathomable question, the same for every one of us. Science has no answer to it.

RE: Himalayan Pink Salt
Good info, thanks.

Is there a particular brand you recommend? I tried it at a friend's house and have wanted to purchase some.

(We switched from regular table salt to Kosher and sea salt a few years ago.)

There's no particular brand I think it's pretty much all the same, although there's a site that deals with super foods over here in UK and they have lots of brilliant products.
I've been using their Peruvian Cocoa it contains hi levels of manganese which is good for blood flow. It really is good stuff I make a cup of Cocoa before bed and you experience very vivid dreams and have a really good night's sleep.
I've used it in baking too and found if I make Butter Cookies and add 50g of the Cocoa it's just the right amount. The cookies are even more potent than the cuppa when it comes to crazy dreams. I've got some branded cocoa that all the supermarkets sell and it gets nowhere near the quality of the special stuffSmile Here's where I get the majority of my Superfoods http://creative-nature.uk.com/

Thanks for the response. That's right you're in the UK. I'll get some pink Himalayan salt the next time I go to Whole Foods (a corporate but very good natural food store). When I used this salt at my friends house I kept sprinkling more and more on my food. It didn't taste like regular salt, it just added more flavor. I've read that it has tons of minerals.

I've also read that natural or organic cocoa is loaded with nutrients. I try not to do the chocolate thing very often but a cup of Peruvian cocoa sounds pretty good right now. Smile

It certainly does sound pretty good. I wouldn't worry too much about having too much cocoa it's nice to treat yourself and it's a healthy way to enjoy chocolate. Smile
