Going to my first coin show tomorrow...Advice?
Hi Everyone. I am attending a coin show here in the metroplex. Since this is my first one. I was hoping some of you coin show gurus, can help me out as far as what I will see, what to pay for 90% and morgan/peace dollars and can I find bullion (Silver) at coin shows? Any other information would be much appreciated. Thank you!

RE: Going to my first coin show tomorrow...Advice?
I have only been to a couple but this is what I have learned.
Know your pricing ahead of time, can you buy it cheaper online including shipping? Maybe a printout may help you negotiate a better deal. Bring a little note book so you can ask for prices and remember who had the best price. You also may be able to use it to negotiate a better deal. With that said, take your time and talk to as many dealers as possible you will be surprised at the wide variance in prices. One more thing does your state normally charge sales tax (my state charges sales tax at the local coin shop)? At the coin show's I have been to, they do not charge sales tax. Factor that into your pricing. Hope that helps. |

I would take a computer with me in hopes they had wi-fi
Then you have access to the web to look up items Many times you can call ahead and ask in there is wireless in the building for public use. How's the stack hanging? |

It was interesting. I found out that maybe I should be at a coin show on the last day.
Anyway, I got 4 Onza's at 2 over spot. I think I will be going back today. Not many buying opportunities for a stacker. Provident Metals had a booth and it was neat to meet some of the folks that work at Provident. They gave me some free swag. ![]()
