According to this report:
Global installed PV capacity, which turns sunlight into power, is expected to have risen to between 207.9 gigawatts and 342.8 GW in 2016, depending on the level of political support, from 69.7 GW in 2011, the report said.

This year, the world's total PV capacity is expected to rise to between 90 and 110 GW, EPIA's Secretary General Reinhold Buttgereit told the conference.

Every Giga-Watt solar is using approximately 4M-ounces of silver according to Stephen Leeb his King World News.

The Low Estimate:Fom let's say 100GW end 2012 -208GW end 2016 = 108GW times 4M-ounce Silver /GW =432M-Ounce silver needed in 4 Years= average 108M-ounces/year.

The High Estimate: From let's say 100M-GW to 342GW end 2016=242GW times 4M-Ounces =968M-ounces Silver Needed in 4 years= average 242M-ounces per year.

Some speculation :
A middle east war wil send the market to the high estimate IMHO.
It looks like Solar is in a parabolic growth Market, that will probably not stop in 2016

What impact will Solar have on the silver price I ask myself Also I ask myself can and where will the silver come from??
