I think this coin from the new zealand mint is going to do extremely well.

1 oz silver proof with COA, mintage 8000. From what I hear it is supposed to release in May

Mojo, what do you suppose that coin will cost from a dealer? And what will it fetch on ebay, or whatever other marketplace that may be available in two year's time? All things equal.

If you bought it off their site, probably like $130-$150 bucks. Off of Apmex, probably $100-$120? Reselling, I can see this particular coin going for $200-$250 bucks depending on frenzy levels at the beginning. Prices tend to be highest right after release when the coins have sold out or are unavailable until the next shipment. Then the prices taper off over the next two weeks.

As for what you could sell it for in two years? I'm not going to try to answer that for a couple reasons:

1. I haven't been in the silver market for two years and so I cannot in good conscience answer that.
2. No idea what spot will be. Premiums depend on nominal prices to a certain degree.

This isn't a long term coin to me, it's a short term play for profits to generate more silver for my stash :-)

sorry, I missed your last comment "all things equal"

all things equal I think this coin will probably have returned to peak frenzy levels right after release. But again, I haven't been in the silver market for 2 years so I'm guessing.

Silver2012.com runs his site. We don't mind him sharing links to his site, Perth Mint, etc....

What we have a problem with is this: On his site, all his links to "Buy" point to clixgalore.com, which gives him a kick back of 10% of your entire sale. While he is more than welcome to do this, what we have the biggest issue with is that we are providing this site for free, and he is trying to capitalize on our member base.

If you want to discuss the coin, you can make a new thread. We have no problem with dicsussing the coin. Just a problem with someone trying to capitalize on our member base. And using what we have provided for free, to try and make money off of it.

i'm happy you've noticed this guy trying to "sell" all of us on this forum. he started in his very first post...trying to get us to "like" his video on youtube. i think we are all hit everyday with all kinds of selling tactics. i like this forum for trying to protect us from these tactics. ya, i understand we're all trying to make a living but there's a time and place... and thankfully, this ain't it.

The new zealand mint apparently went through an ownership switch and things got delayed as a result. I don't know much more about it than that. I believe both the great white shark and the feng shui-koi are supposed to come out in june.

It is still not out - we don't even know what it will cost from the mint. Why do you think it will reach $200 on eBay? The Pacific Swordfish is on eBay for $129 buy now (with free shipping) and on the New Zealand Mint site it is still selling for $138 NZD.

I think the feng shui coin is much more appealing than the pacific swordfish. I will probably buy 2 if I can get a reasonable price($110ish range?)

Happened to me before. If you want to have stuff shipped to an address that isn't your billing addy - I just call my card company have an an alternate shipping address added to my card. (then place order and visa verify it's legit)
