More disturbing images coming from Syria. I believe that we get involved in too much of the worlds problems. I also believe that if we get involved in Syria, we will then be at war with Iran. After watching this video I question my beliefs. What are yours?

That is a very disturbing and disgusting video. No offence to you personally. Do we get involved. No absolutely not. Let them kill each other off and stay out of it. It's not our fight. Don't forget these are the people that attack the west every chance they get. They are the ones that think we are the enemy. They are the ones that want us to assimilate into their culture and their beliefs because they are so advanced and have the only way of life. As soon as something happens that doesn't go the way they want it to they come running to the west for help because they are now victims. I say pull the troops and support out of there and let them settle it themselves, its not our problem.

We shouldn't do anything. The only ones who should do anything are you and I acting as individuals, not operating as a collective.

That was a terrible video, but what context is there for you and me 10000 miles away? We're these guys "bad guys?" Were they "good guys?" How can we possibly know what the circumstances were that caused that?

I say let them sort it out, not because I have no compassion - but because I understand our involvement as foreigners has a very good chance of making things worse than they already are.

Well said already Akamkk and Harbl. Absolutely stay out of it, what are you thinking Mongo. We could go in there with the very best of intentions, get sucked into yet another costly never-ending conflict and just end up alienating the rest of the world and perhaps encouraging more terrorist attacks against the west.
Let the arab spring turn into arab winter. Let them kill each other, make their own mistakes and create their own 'perfect' islamic societies.
I do not hate muslims per se but I do hate islam and that is not borne out of ignorance either as I have a reasonably good understanding of their religion and their prophet.

This is exactly the type of response I was talking about. No matter what we do here in the West to help anyone else no matter what part of the world they live in we get sh*t on. I say pull all foreign aid, all financial aid, all donations to all organizations and all food and medical aid donated, and close the borders for immigration to the middle east and Africa and let nature run its course and see what happens when its over.

I agree 100% with Akamkk, Harbl and Cointreau - we have no business interfering with this war or uprising. Let Russia or China get involved if they want to be world powers. Let the Arabs take care of their own people.
