A FIRST! Vintage Canadian silver dollars!

The RCM has hit a new low. They are offering a set of silver dollars that seem to be from original coins. These are not new minted coins but coins that could be bought out of a coin shop for half the price. But you do get a nice box. There is nothing in the advertizement to guarantee a grade such as MS 60 or MS 67. Who knows what the grade would be? To be honest I am a little shocked.

Are you serious they are 80% silver and each have .6 of an oz. If you find any I'll take them off your hands at double face value.

Saw these too and wondered why are they bothering - guess someone at the mint thought it was a good idea. Not interested -e specially at the prices they're asking.

I have a can full of those I bought for $18-25 a pop.

I carry one in my coin purse with me everywhere I go (real men carry coin purses, because real men use silver and gold as money).

I should buy some more. They're actually quite nice coins... I sure wouldn't buy them from the mint though when I can get them 2-3% under spot.
