58 a good ratio to swap?
The gold to silver ratio closed the week at 58. I think it's a good time to do a swap gold for silver?
What do you think? May the best pet win! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2Ltv9fjVe4 |

RE: 58 a good ratio to swap?
I would swap all my gold for silver now if I hadn't already.

I think I have a 20 Franc Swiss coin and 3 oz bullion left: 1 Maple 1 RCM bar 1 .99999 "Mountie" Maple I traded one Maple at about 45. I think I'll trade the maple this weekend. The RCM bar I'd start thinking about selling at 65-70. The Mountie I'd be really hard pressed to let go. It's quite a nice coin and it looks like the asking price is almost $2300 on Ebay and have sold for $1850... I should have bought a few more of those when gold was $1500 in December ![]() Maybe I should see if I can find some more at my local dealer. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2011-1-oz-Gold-Ca..._809wt_884 May the best pet win! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2Ltv9fjVe4 |

You know... I'm going to trade my Maple and Generic gold bar for one of those Mountie coins... all the reasons John has stated in favour of semi-numismatic silver bullion I think hold true and I can't see those Mountie coins ever being below $1500.

RE: 58 a good ratio to swap?
For people who already have a lot of silver I don't see anything wrong with holding some gold. Of course, I'm talking about people like me who aren't one of the wealthy! We never had any special gold coins or bars, just Eagles so it wasn't hard to let go.
At some point we'll start trading some silver for gold. Have you ever watched any of w0tm's (Gary) videos? He did one where he explained why he thought there would be two major bull markets for silver. One monetary, and the other after at some point after a reset - a true shortage where silver would be worth much, much more than gold. It rang true to me.

Hey ag, do you happen to know the date or have a link of the video you're talking about? I would like to watch it if you do. Thanks. |

RE: 58 a good ratio to swap?
Attached is a good article from Silver Vigilante as to just another "form of manipulation" putting downward pressure on the Silver price. The author makes a good argument for the link between pressuring the price of oil lower and the effect this has on the price of silver, and other commodities, going much lower as well. Obama, of course, wants these lower oil prices to assist with his re-election.
I would say 58:1 ratio is a great buy anytime! http://silvervigilante.com/silver-collat...#more-1567 |

RE: 58 a good ratio to swap?
i agree close to 60 is a great place to trade ur gold for silver... but remember most dealers charge something like a 6% premium... so really your getting 4-5 coins less...
so is it better to wait or just jump in before any shortage? |
