Wow, that was a fast reply to my email. Didn't give me all the information i wanted, but it was useful.

Hi NAME(edited out by me) we minted approximately 20,000 1oz Takus for 2011, and approx 10,000 in 2010.

I cannot yet confirm the how many 2012 coins will be produced, or when they will be available.

Just fyi, that was a 2011 taku, not the 2012. They are basically the same coin minus the year difference.

Love this coin. I got 6 yesteday and 6 mooses.. I can't wait to see that taku in person! went to Gainesville for the first time. I have only purchased from Provident or Apmex before and pleased with both. Gainesville actually called me today since it was the first time, they wanted to verify the delivery address.

I guess these will have to do since they haven't come out with the Chipmonk one yet... Smile

the pic on the take does not do it justice... to see this coin in ur hand is a gorgeous site! i would be facing starvation to ever sell one!!!

Great news for any of us that already own the 2010 or 2011 fiji takus. The 2012 taku mintage has been announced and the number is (drumroll) 350,000!

Remember that the mintage for 2010 and 2011 were:

20,000 1oz Takus for 2011, and approx 10,000 in 2010.

If only the coins had different images we'd be looking at some killer premiums. Still, this can only help the premium for the older dates :-)

But the mintage numbers of 2010 and 2011 did seem too good to be true and so I tried to contact them as well about the mintage numbers of the Fijis, but I didn't get an answer. Did you contact them through the email address stated on their site?
