We have a revenue problem because your fellow Americans WANT more from the Gov then they currently take in. As soon as your fellow Americans Stop demanding from the Gov then spending can do down and the problem will go away…America has a Revenue/Not enough taxes coming in to support current spending.. AND a Spending Problem.I would bet 95% of Americans in some way benefit from Gov Spending directly or indirectly.

Is this ideas he talks about, the so called “Chicago school of Keynesian economics” ?

How do we have a revenue problem? (And how does Government even have revenues, can we just call it confiscated dollars at the point of a gun instead of revenue? or maybe we can just call it taxes) We have a spending problem. How the hell is 2.5 TRILLION Dollars not enough to run the federal government? 2.5 TRILLION dollars. Human beings in their right minds cant even fathom what 2.5 Trillion dollars is.

He makes perfect sense. Like the Dems and Republicans the keynesian / austrian are two wings of the same economic bird. Right now it is a revenue problem and a spending problem. No American is willing to take a cut and we simply dont have the money hence we need more money. Big business is a huge factor in large Gov that is true as well.So really it is a wash when it comes to which system is better for different individuals..I think thats what he was getting at. With either system you will ultimatley have corruption,cronyism etc…Like the scorpion killing the frog..It’s the very nature of man.

I am stunned. I personally pulled myself out of a minimum wage job, to be successful, and then started a business, employing others. Paying those workers based on their skills. We became a top company in our field, no unions necessary. But according to Jeff that isn’t possible?
