New Mexico Precious Metals Bill HBO160
The proposed law working its way through the New Mexico Legislature creates a list of rules that precious metal buyers would have to follow. For example, the buyer would have to photograph every item and then document the seller’s hair, gender, height, weight, complexion, and date of birth.
Would laws like this protect anyone from being cheated? Or, are these laws which are being proposed in many states target citizens who want to protect their wealth from inflation and tyranny? My opinion is that it targets retailers and precious metal owners by forcing them to report sales to the IRS and funneling their wealth through the banking system. Is this the first step towards gold & silver confiscation?
